RunTV for Mac is a native desktop build that runs on both Apple silicon and Intel Macs from a single universal download. It plays your playlist directly, with the keyboard shortcuts and window behaviour you expect from a Mac app.
Why a desktop player beats a browser
- Provider streams that browsers refuse. Many IPTV sources are plain HTTP or use older TLS, which browsers block outright. A desktop app can play them.
- Formats browsers do not handle, including MPEG-TS, are handled natively.
- It doubles as your remote. The same app pairs with your Apple TV or Android TV and drives what is on the big screen.
Two ways to install: the Mac App Store version, or a direct universal .dmg if you would rather not use the store. Both are free and identical in features.

How to install
- Download RunTV for Mac. Get it from the Mac App Store, or download the universal .dmg from the downloads page.
- Open the app. If you used the .dmg, drag RunTV to your Applications folder and open it from there.
- Sign in or continue. Signing in syncs your favorites and paired TVs across your devices. You can also just add a playlist and watch.
- Add your playlist. Open Sources and paste your M3U URL, or your Xtream Codes host, username and password.
- Pair a TV if you want the big screen. Open RunTV on your Apple TV or Android TV and enter the 8 digit code it shows.
